Natalie Young, PharmD, DICVP, BCSCP
Dr. Young is a nationally recognized veterinary pharmacist serving as Clinical Veterinary Pharmacy Director for Vets Pets and Managing Partner of Companion Pharmacy. She is among a small number of pharmacists to hold both Diplomate status through the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists and dual board certification as a Veterinary Pharmacist and in Sterile Compounding, and she recently completed service on the Board of Pharmacy Specialties’ Specialty Council.
A Past President and former Chairman of the Board of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists and former Compounding Chair for the American Pharmacists Association, Dr. Young directs the UNC Veterinary Pharmacy Residency program, serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council, and holds an adjunct faculty appointment at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She speaks nationally for VetGirl, contributes to Clinician’s Brief, and serves as an expert reviewer for Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs.
A North Carolina native, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Doctor of Pharmacy from UNC Chapel Hill. Outside of work, she is usually outdoors training for her next long-distance run or working on her latest Basset Hound rescue project.
