Upon completion of this exercise, you should be able to:
- Define trituration and geometric dilution.
- Demonstrate techniques of geometric dilution (e.g., preparation of powder
triturations) and serial dilution (e.g., preparation of liquid aliquots).
- Describe the techniques and perform the calculations for obtaining a
quantity of a substance less than the L.W.Q. for a solid dosage form (i.e.
trituration method), and a liquid dosage form (i.e. liquid aliquot method).
